As Assistant Nurse Manager, you will support the nurse manager by providing clinical supervision and unit coordination. A caregiver in this position works three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. and one 4-hour shift from 7:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. with weekend and holiday rotation requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations. Provide patient care. Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units. Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers. Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions and monitor attendance issues. Interview, select and orient new caregivers. Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts. Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies and research initiatives. Assume responsibilities of the Nurse Manager in their absence. Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in-service educational programs. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year employment. Nurse RN 7p Trauma / Surgical Intermediate Care

Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/tasks may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served. Qualifications Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: Associate's Degree Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. Crisis Prevention Institute training within ninety (90) days, and then annually, is required for Psych Unit. Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Professional certification preferred. Required Experience: Less than one year of related experience. Preferred Experience: One (1) year of clinical experience.
