Emergency & Critical Response Respond promptly to emergent and critical situations, including Code Blue, Rapid Response, trauma activations, and behavioral emergencies. Apply advanced clinical judgment in fast-paced, high-stress scenarios. Advanced Clinical Therapies & Medication Management Manage complex medical therapies such as ventilators, vasoactive drips, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced cardiac life support equipment. Safely administer medications, including high-alert medications, chemotherapy, and moderate sedation agents. Procedures & Technical Skills Perform and maintain competency in advanced procedures, including central line care, chest tube management, wound vac therapy, arterial line monitoring, and peritoneal dialysis. Ensure procedural accuracy and adherence to evidence-based practices. Collaboration & Care Coordination Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care during admissions, transfers, procedures, and discharges. Communicate effectively to ensure seamless transitions across units. Safety, Compliance & Professional Standards Adhere to hospital policies regarding patient safety, infection prevention, hazardous drug handling, radiation safety, and equipment use. Maintain professionalism, accountability, and adaptability while floating between diverse clinical environments. Patient & Family Support Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care, including education, emotional support, and assistance with end-of-life care. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of acute care nursing experience At least 2 years experience in the ICU, ED, or Progressive Care setting Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to multiple clinical settings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. EPIC preferred Credentials IV Therapy & Vascular Access Proficient in IV insertion, phlebotomy, port access, and central line maintenance. Competent in managing arterial lines, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Monitoring & Emergency Equipment Skilled in operating and interpreting cardiac monitoring systems. Competent with ventilators, defibrillators, rapid infusers, and other emergency response equipment. Experienced in managing advanced circulatory support devices such as IABP, Impella, and LVADs. Critical Care Clinical Skills Proficient in administering and titrating vasoactive infusions and managing complex hemodynamic needs. Skilled in ventilator management, including ventilator modes and sedation vacation practices. Experienced in conducting neuro assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, and recovery from procedures. Procedural & Perioperative Support Provides comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care. Competent in time-outs, sheath removal, patient preparation, and recovery protocols. Patient Safety & Risk Prevention Knowledgeable in safe patient handling, fall prevention strategies, and suicide precautions. Adheres to infection prevention practices and proper restraint techniques according to policy. Specialized Therapies Competent in managing CRRT , peritoneal dialysis, and wound VAC therapy. Skilled in administering and monitoring enteral and parenteral nutrition. Utilizes evidence-based pain management modalities. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Samaritan Lincoln City Clinic provides primary health care for all family members from newborns to seniors through their pediatrics, family medicine and internal medicine providers, with a focus on compassion, dignity and respect. The health care team may include doctors, nurse practitioners, physician associates, behavioral health specialists, medical assistants and other clinic staff members working together to help patients maintain the best possible health. Description The Assistant Nurse Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse with broad knowledge and skills who acts as clinical leader in the daily functioning of the unit and oversight of quality patient care delivery, in conjunction with, or in the absence of, the Clinical Nurse Manager. Responsibilities Patient Care Leading nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care and the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing for the promotion of the patient experience. Perform work that involves numerous steps and techniques that require the use of professional judgment.
