Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence‐ based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Training and Regulatory Compliance • Facilitate OSHA training and assist employees with OSHA compliance. • Oversee and assist with training regarding residents’ health and wellness. • Coordinate state-required training with Executive Director to ensure regulatory compliance. Communications • Attend all regular staff meetings and required training sessions. • Attends various community events. • Participates in the Manager On Duty program. • Effectively communicate information pertaining to the residents on a “need to know” basis to other team members according to the residence policies and procedures. • Notify your supervisor or the Clinical Director if you observe a change in a resident’s condition. • Accountable for compliance, excellence and delivery of resident care in adherence with organization, local, state and federal regulations. • Maintains a positive and professional manner toward residents, visitors, families and co-workers. • Adheres to all policies and procedures of Ohio Living. Qualifications Education • Current unencumbered license for the state of Ohio to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required. Experience • One year experience working as a nurse in a hospital, long term care facility, or other related health care facility required. • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet preferred. • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
