The Surgery Outpatient Offices (SOPA) is a clinic caring for surgical patients. As a team member, you will work alongside the surgeon, caring for patients beginning with their surgical consultation and continue throughout their surgical journey. You will provide pre and post operative education as well as phone triage for patients and their families questions, before and after their surgery. Our patient population includes plastic surgery and general surgery, including hepatobiliary and colorectal surgeons. Our clinic also has a dedicated dietician and a social worker. Our clinic has 25 clinic rooms that includes two treatment rooms. We have approximately 12K patient visits per year. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm clinic with some flexibility. Qualifications: Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
