In This Role, You Will: Learn more about our Home Infusion Pharmacy: Optum Infusion Pharmacy Work 40 hours a week, Wednesday-Friday, 12pm-10pm, and Saturdays (10 hour shift, start time is flexible) Travel within a 80 mile radius of the East Valley (including but not limited to Mesa, Tempe, Gilbert, and Queen Creek) to deliver care in patient homes or designated sites Primary Responsibilities: Travel to patient homes and related sites using a personal or rental vehicle in accordance with company travel policies Provide safe and compliant infusion services in accordance with Optum Infusion Pharmacy policies, protocols, and physician orders Establish and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with patients and caregivers, including education on self-care and self-administration Assess patient suitability for home infusion therapy, including home safety, caregiver support, and patient independence Obtain and maintain accurate patient medical histories, clinical assessments, and all required documentation, including plans of care, visit notes, medication profiles, and discharge summaries Deliver skilled nursing care across a range of patient ages and conditions based on physician orders and treatment plans Establish, access, and maintain vascular devices, including peripheral IVs, PICC lines, tunneled catheters, and implanted ports Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including managing infusion reactions, vital signs, side effects, and lab collection Communicate patient status and therapy response promptly with physicians, pharmacists, supervisors, and other care team members Assist in staff orientation and training, serving as a clinical educator and resource as requested Why You'll Love This Role Beyond the meaningful impact you make every day, you'll enjoy: Paid Door-to-Door - Time and mileage fully compensated Mileage reimbursement in alignment with IRS Standard mileage rates Generous Benefits include accruing paid time off (PTO) Monthly performance-based bonus opportunity Comprehensive training ensures you feel confident with every therapy before administering care. 1:1 patient connection, allowing you to see the difference your nursing care makes firsthand You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in Required Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start 1+ years of RN experience in a clinical setting supporting infusion or IV therapy (e.g., ICU, Med Surg, ED, PACU) Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment and effective interdisciplinary collaboration skills Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to cover an 80 mile service radius while working 35-40 hours per week Preferred Qualifications: Home infusion experience Familiarity with Microsoft Office and EMR platforms Knowledge of Infusion Nursing Society (INS) standards Understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and home infusion accreditation guidelines Proven solid communication, organization, critical thinking, and teaching skills Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
