Job Overview The Clinical Manager oversees the daily operations of a direct patient care department, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and quality standards. This role provides clinical leadership, guiding staff in delivering developmentally appropriate care and evaluating outcomes. The Clinical Manager supports quality and safety initiatives, contributes to organizational goals, and drives improvements in healthcare performance and patient experience. The Neuroscience Institute’s primary neurology ambulatory clinic is located on the Anschutz Campus, with additional neurology services supported across several Network of Care sites in the Denver Metro region. Our team provides comprehensive neurologic care to pediatric patients with a wide range of acute, episodic, and chronic neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions. Neurology ambulatory nurses collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team that includes advanced practice providers, registered nurses, medical assistants, EEG/EMG technologists, social workers, and pediatric neurologists, including epileptologists, neuroimmunology specialists, neuromuscular specialists. Together, we coordinate care for patients across the continuum while supporting both diagnostic evaluations and ongoing disease management. Our clinic cares for children with conditions including, but not limited to: Chronic neurologic conditions such as epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, cerebral palsy, neurogenetic syndromes, movement disorders, and neuroimmunologic diseases Neurodevelopmental and congenital disorders including developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder with neurological comorbidities, neurometabolic and neurogenetic disorders Acute and episodic concerns such as headaches and migraines, seizures, tics, and other new-onset neurological symptoms Duties & Responsibilities Develops and communicates the department’s strategic plan and annual goals, aligning team priorities with organizational objectives to enhance clinical practice, quality of care, and professional growth. Selects, trains, and evaluates department staff, creating a supportive environment that promotes development, engagement, and high performance. Makes decisions on hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations in coordination with Associate Clinical Managers. Develops departmental budget recommendations and monitors expenditures to support cost-effective operations. Directs and manages daily departmental operations, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Uses evidence-based practice to develop and maintain guidelines for safe, effective care. Provides clinical expertise, guiding team members in delivering developmentally appropriate care and evaluating outcomes for infants and children with complex health needs. Oversees staff and financial resource allocation, adjusting as needed to meet patient care demands while maintaining budget compliance. Establishes department performance metrics and collaborates with Associate Clinical Managers to achieve clinical, operational, and developmental goals. Identifies and acts on opportunities for continuous improvement. Resolves escalated, complex, or sensitive patient/family issues and operational concerns, making inclusive, data-informed decisions that address root causes. Overview Our Medical Respiratory Unit is a 42-bed unit primarily specializing in the care of acute and chronic respiratory conditions. Nurses have a 1:6 ratio and provide care to predominately respiratory patients requiring treatment for pneumonia, shortness of breath, COPD or other various lung diseases. In addition, this unit will further provide care to a variety of medical patients with GI issues, diabetes, and occasional stroke and surgical patients. Patients in this area benefit from daily rounds with the entire interdisciplinary team. This unit will soon house a step-down unit for more acute respiratory patients at a 1:4 nursing ratio as well. JOB SUMMARY: The clinical scheduler/pre/post Registered Nurse serves primarily as the coordinator and scheduler for outpatient interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, and non-invasive cardiac procedures. This role is responsible for coordinating patient care throughout the procedural continuum, including patient scheduling, pre-procedural assessment, obtaining required documentation and diagnostic testing, patient education, and ensuring all procedural requirements are completed prior to the scheduled procedure.
