Director of Nursing (DON) Skilled Nursing Facility | Full-Time We are seeking an experienced, motivated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department and help build a culture where residents receive exceptional care and employees are supported, developed, and held to high standards. Ensures quality care, documentation and collaboration are within guidelines. Supports direct care coordination, ensures hospice eligibility, and oversees recordkeeping functions. Provides orientation, education, training and/or competencies, as needed. Maintain and implement operational policies and procedures to meet patient and family needs in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements guidelines and Care Initiatives Hospice policies and procedures. Support and facilitate educational directives of the Administrator and/or corporate leadership. What it takes to be a Clinical Manager with Care Initiatives Hospice: Active RN license (or ability to activate) in the state(s) in which you operate. Active CPR certification. Hospice or palliative care experience. At least one year in a leadership or charge nurse position or relative experience. Two years of recent clinical experience in hospice, oncology, home health or public health nursing; hospice experience preferred. Home access to the internet.
