In this role you will be responsible for: Providing nursing care within their scope of practice Performing appropriate segments of the prescribed medical regime for an assigned group of patients Working cooperatively with health care team members to maintain established standards of care Job descriptions are subject to change with continued Activation Planning. Modifications may be made at any time based on operational and patient needs. Physical Demands: Physical Requirements: Able to walk long distances, sit and stand for long periods of time. Frequently lift, push, pull and move various weights (patients and equipment). Visual Requirements: Visual dexterity in working with charts, equipment and computers. Hearing Requirements: Able to hear with a stethoscope; able to hear normal conversation and telephone communication. Working Conditions: Clinical setting. Exposure to infectious waste, body fluids, sharps and needle sticks. Resposibilties The CNA maintains a "homelike environment for the residents, protects and promotes Resident Rights and assists the person to maintain independence and control to the greatest extent possible. Provides direct care to residents to improve or maintain the resident’s abilities Follows all facility policies and procedures including those related to infection control. Records accurate, legible information about resident care and condition in appropriate sections of residents’ records. Communicates with Unit Charge Nurse about assigned residents regularly throughout shift. Monitors physical environment for safety or fire hazards and corrects or reports potential problems
