RN/Registered Nurse - Sleep Clinic

Job Overview Fairview is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to support our clinic locations in Brooklyn Park and Minneapolis Riverside. This full-time position is approved for 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks) and works Monday through Friday with shifts scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The registered nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. While following established standards and protocols, the registered nurse delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic. The RN provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established nursing standards and practices. As a member of the care team, the RN supports quality patient and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The nurse will educate patients and the public about various medical conditions, maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow. Responsibilities Assess patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes. Implement nursing interventions based on plan of care. Evaluates care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes. Delivers care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient. Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes. Job Overview This position focuses on an area of a specific medical specialty or chronic care condition (i.e. endoscopy, enterostomal therapy, mental health, total parenteral nutrition, bone marrow transplant). Serves as a resource and educator to patient, medical and hospital staff within the specialty. Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy

Job Overview The Endoscopy RN manages the care of the adult or older patient beginning with the pre-procedure assessment, IV start, and education followed by procedural conscious sedation and monitoring, specimen collection and hands on assistance during the procedure. The RN performs the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). Schedule: This is a day/evening position working 56 hours per pay period with 8-hour shifts. Weekend and weekday call responsibilities are shared on a rotating basis. Provides nursing care to adult or pediatric endoscopy patients in the Endoscopy/GI department, In-patient Units, Operating Room, Emergency Department and ICU. Responsible for proper handling of specimens from patients, properly identifying and preparing specimens for lab. Responsible to perform and assure proper cleaning of endoscopes and equipment and ability to carry out all aspects of equipment reprocessing.
