The Orthopedic Section is a multispecialty practice with fellowship-trained sports medicine, adult reconstruction, foot and ankle and trauma surgeons and primary care sports medicine physicians. This candidate will be assigned duties in the Orthopedic Clinic and Walk-in clinic seeing urgent and non-urgent ambulatory patients with musculoskeletal complaints. The scheduled hours are 20 hours per week; Two full days 8am-5pm and one half day 8am-12pm or 1-5pm OR three days, 8am-5pm. Ideal candidate will have previous primary or urgent care experience, be confident treating patients ages 2 and up, and be able to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. What You'll Do Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines. Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management. Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care. Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions. Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care. Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies. Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed. Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records. Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices. Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required).
