They must have the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment and is responsible for providing outstanding patient service within the clinic and through various virtual communication channels while maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere. What You Will Do: Conduct comprehensive skin evaluations to assess the overall health and condition of a patient's skin. Perform focused examinations to diagnose and monitor specific skin conditions. Diagnose and manage common dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, fungal infections, and dermatitis. Perform skin biopsies to obtain tissue samples for pathological examination. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including skin biopsies, patch tests, and cultures. Prescribe medications such as topical creams, biologics, oral antibiotics, antifungals, or immunosuppressants. Administer immunizations for conditions like warts or molluscum contagiosum. Excise benign skin lesions, moles, and cysts using local anesthesia when necessary. Suture or close wounds after excisions. Administer cryotherapy using techniques like liquid nitrogen application. Drain abscesses and perform incision and drainage procedures. Insert or remove sutures and staples. Manage wound care and provide dressing changes for chronic wounds, ulcers, or surgical sites. Evaluate and diagnose skin cancer. Collaborate with dermatologists to plan and implement treatment, which may include surgery, radiation therapy, or referrals to oncology specialists. Educate patients on proper skincare routines, sun protection, and lifestyle modifications. Counsel patients on the importance of early detection and prevention of skin cancer. Provide guidance on self-examination for suspicious moles or lesions. Prescribe and manage medications. Monitor patients for medication side effects and treatment response. Administer phototherapy treatments, using narrowband UVB or PUVA therapy as appropriate. Manage chronic dermatological conditions, including hidradenitis suppurativa, vitiligo, or lichen planus. Collaborate with other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care. Preferred Experience working as a telehealth Clinician Ability to provide quality care in both clinic and telehealth and meet patient volume goals targeted. Administer cosmetic injectables. Botox is only injectable currently. Perform chemical peels and microdermabrasion procedures. Offer consultation and treatment planning for cosmetic procedures. Trauma and Emergency General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Position Overview: The Trauma and Emergency General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers direct patient care consistent with the APP’s education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with the attending Trauma and Emergency General Surgery physicians. This includes the diagnosis, management, and referral of health care issues specific to Trauma and Emergency General Surgery (EGS). The APP will complete pre- and post-surgical management and recognize options for non-surgical management of trauma, EGS, and critically ill patients. Partner with Trauma/EGS APPs, Trauma/EGS attendings, surgical residents, nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapies, social work and case management to develop disposition plans with a multidisciplinary team approach. Respond to trauma cases in the resuscitation bay, perform trauma survey assessments, and stabilize high-acuity patients in accordance with Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) guidelines. Promote consumer, family, and community health through preventative health care actions and patient advocacy. Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, including periodically serving as a surgical first assistant during Trauma and EGS cases. Position Summary The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive palliative and hospice care in various settings. The APRN delivers expert clinical evaluation, treatment, and management of patients with serious or terminal illnesses. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, facilitating goals of care discussions, prescribing treatments, and supporting transitions of care. The APRN plays an integral role in educating staff, families, and the broader medical community about palliative and hospice care. PRN hours M-F days to include some weekend availability if needed. Essential Functions Provide medical expertise in pain and symptom management, including terminal prognosis evaluation. Act as attending provider in hospice contract beds in collaboration with the hospice physician. Coordinate admissions and discharges for hospice contract beds, including review of terminal diagnoses. Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes. Conduct patient and family assessments, ensuring readiness for transition to hospice or home settings. Perform physical exams, diagnostic testing, treatment, follow-up, and consultations. Prescribe and administer medications and other therapeutic interventions. Collaborate and consult with hospice/palliative physicians, attending physicians, and interdisciplinary team. Support patients and families in clarifying care goals and end-of-life decisions. Maintain accurate and complete medical records to ensure compliance and reimbursement. Ensure informed consent documentation, including CPR and DNR discussions. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and on-call rotations. Educate internal staff and community members on palliative and hospice care. Coordinate inpatient APRN assignments and support departmental functions . Qualifications Knowledge and Critical Skills Expertise in patient charting, history taking, and documentation practices. Knowledge of health education methods, clinical operations, and medical procedures. Proficient in diagnosis, treatment planning, and symptom management. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to organize, analyze, and prioritize complex tasks and data. Comfortable with public speaking, leadership, and team collaboration. Experience Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience. Experience in hospice or palliative care preferred. License / Certification Current Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant license in the State of Florida. Valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation. Education Master’s degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing program. Other Requirements Medical clearance for communicable diseases prior to patient contact. Up-to-date immunizations including, but not limited to, TB, Hepatitis, and Influenza.
