The care includes frequent assessments for post-partum complications of the mother and newborn including but not limited to preeclampsia, post-partum hemorrhage, and infant hypoglycemia. This unit specializes in offering emotional support to the new dyad while also providing extensive teaching and crucial education prior to discharge. Experience Required Two years minimum of acute RN women and children's experience required. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing License/Certification Requirements Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse); Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers); certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS) Special Requirements Per diem,7AM-7PM, weekends and holidays required. Pool requirements: Nurses shall work at least two (2) weekend shifts per six week schedule and one (1) other shift per 6 week schedule.
