You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable. Job Description Position Summary: The Perioperative Resource Nurse at The Guthrie Clinic Health System is designed to fill workforce gaps in high vacancy areas in the ORs. A Perioperative Resource Nurse may serve at either our Level 1 Trauma Center (Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital) or Guthrie Lourdes Hospital (197 bed multi specialty community hospital.) The incumbent will work in the services lines for which they have competencies. The Perioperative Resource Nurses provides a high-level of clinical nursing care to assigned patients, performing related assessments, procedures and treatments, evaluations, patient care plan development/revisions, and education to patient and/or family. The Perioperative Resource Nurse puts the patient first and ensures that high quality care is given to assigned patients by following policies, clinical guidelines, safety systems such as medication scanning and bed alarm use, timely and accurate documentation, core measure compliance and serving as a patient advocate. Education, License & Cert: To be employed as an RN – Perioperative Resource Nurse, an individual must have at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, two years of recent experience in an acute care operating suite, and pass the NCLEX. What We're Looking For Education: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. - 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, preferred. - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course. Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required. Preferred- One year of medical surgical experience. Licensure/Certification/Registration: - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
