Review of care with new nurse graduate residents and nursing staff, to include, disease processes, but not limited to core measures, stroke and sepsis. May attend rapid responses and codes, to observe, provide feedback, and debrief, facilitate education, direction, coaching before, during and after the rapid response or code, as indicated. Acts in a professional manner and promotes the HCA’s company and facility values and commitment to Code of Conduct. Functions as resource for staff members and provides education as necessary. Responsible for acting as resource and shadowing of new nurse graduate residents and other nursing staff as needed, to help facilitate the delivery of safe, quality, patient-centered care. Promotes and acts as resource to new nurse graduate residents and other nursing staff, to provide guidance and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, nursing policies and procedures to ensure they meet legal, and all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements. Utilize skills of observation, assessment to assess care, provide feedback on nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation of care of the ill, injured or infirm. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required (BSN preferred). Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License (required). 2+ years of current nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting (required). 1 year of leadership experience as Charge, Shift Coordinator, Council member, etc. (preferred) Critical care experience (preferred).
