Job Description This is a 8 hour Monday-Friday 7:00-15:30 position. These jobs are mainly at the Parnassus and UCIC campuses for a diagnostic radiology nurse (MRI and CT ) but will also float. Job Description BCH Oakland Day Hospital Infusion Center serves the Specialty populations at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. The treatments include but are not limited to apheresis, chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, hydration and electrolyte therapy, injections and blood draws, enzymes and iron infusions, and antibiotics. The center consists of 14 beds, and treatments include research and standard of care infusions. The infusion centers are staffed by Nurses, Medical Assistants, and a Practice Coordinator. This position requires the incumbent to utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Job Description Department: UHC: Peds - CCD - Neurology Job Summary: Coordinator-RN Peds works under the supervision of the Senior Nurse Manager and Clinic Supervisor. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the management of the Pediatric Allergy/Pulmonary, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, and Cardiology, General Pediatrics and/or Pediatric and Adult Medicine patient population on an ongoing basis. POSITION DESCRIPTION Responsible for timely and accurate completion of both the RAI process and care management process from admission to discharge in accordance with company policy and procedures, and Federal, State and Certification guidelines, and all other entities as appropriate- Minimum Data Set, discharge and admission tracking, etc. With direction from the Director of Nursing and VP of Clinical Reimbursement, may coordinate information systems operations and education for the clinical department. Assists the TPD in coaching and educating the non-nurse registrars on registry changes, data entry errors and timeliness of chart completion. Actively participates in report and documentation preparation for American College of Surgeons and County Site Surveys. The majority of the trauma nurse registrar's responsibility (90% or greater) is related to the registry and as described above. The trauma nurse registrar may be required to assist with performance improvement initiatives as the need arises.
