PACU RN Position Summary The PACU RN provides nursing care for surgical patients immediately post op recovering from Anesthesia. The PACU RN may also assist with Anesthesia blocks and procedures and preop inpatients for surgery. The PACU RN is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. The PACU RN acts as a patient advocate. The PACU RN provides support, information and direct care and utilizes equipment and technology skillfully and is technically competent in nursing procedures.
