As a Health Services Coordinator you will serve as the health care advisor to the interdisciplinary team. You will guide direct support professionals in the implementation of programs to ensure high quality health care services. Communicating with physician’s regarding client’s needs, the nursing assessments and recommendations. Collaborating with team members of the treatments to ensure the client’s well-being. Performing assessments/evaluations for potential clients and create nursing care plans as needed. Work as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care, implement individual nursing care plan. Provide basic patient care or treatments such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, massaging, or performing catheterizations. Measure and record patient’s vital signs, administer medications and maintain information in electronic health system. Provide training to staff. Completing audits as per stringent regulatory requirements. Implementing necessary diet changes when applicable . Ensuring physical , medical, and immunization requirements are completed as per our regulations. All other duties as assigned per the Devereux standards of care by the Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager. SUMMARY OF JOB The Clinical Assistant performs clinical duties and administrative tasks in medical offices, under the direction of Redeemer Health Physician and Ambulatory Services clinicians. Responsible for creating an exceptional experience during each patient encounter by providing a warm welcome, a fond farewell, and by delivering competent , compassionate clinical care as appropriate by specialty; and, for effective communication and interactions with other members of the care team. RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS Graduate from an accredited college or technical school for: Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomist, Home Health Aide, or other Allied Health training or equivalent medical office or clinical experience and/or education such as a nursing or medical student. All candidates must excel in delivering a positive patient experience, critical thinking skills, and have excellent communication (both written and oral) skills.
