Unit Description: The Emergency Department (ED) at Pennsylvania Hospital, located in the historic district of downtown Philadelphia, is a 29 bed unit that sees over 50,000 visits annually. There are two sides to this. One group of nurses prepare and recover the patient following the procedure, while another group of nurses is in the rooms with the interventional radiologists and others to assist with the procedures. Some of these nurses do go over to MD Anderson for Radiologic cases scheduled over there.
