Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient clinical setting. The Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic medical conditions while emphasizing preventive care and health promotion. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications in accordance with state law, providing patient education, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate is committed to clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, and improving patient health outcomes. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited institution. Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure. Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license/certification in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice, Adult-Gerontology, Internal Medicine, or another appropriate primary care specialty. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain. Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinical services preferred. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, patient education, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Description A nurse practitioner is certified under section 6910 of the New York State Education Law and licensed as a registered nurse. A nurse practitioner provides acute/primary health care in accordance with written policies approved by nursing and medical administration. Responsibilities 1. Develops and implements a collaborative practice agreement in the specific clinical area and performs a periodic review of the collaborative agreement. 2. Assesses the health status of patients/families by means of comprehensive health history and physical examination. 3. Initiates selected therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations and laboratory examination, prescribes and alters medication regimens, interprets findings and alters plan of care according to collaborative practice agreement and protocols in designated area. 4.
