What you will be doing Administrative Nursing Supervisor Per Diem Non-Exempt Weekend Rotation Overview: The practice of the profession of nursing as a registered professional nurse is defined in New York State as diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being, and executing medical regimens prescribed by a licensed practitioner. The HSS Registered Nurse provides and ensures comprehensive nursing care to patients/families, using the nursing process and appropriate standards of care in accordance with the philosophy of Hospital for Special Surgery, the Division of Nursing, the ANA Code of Ethics and regulatory bodies. The Administrative Nursing Coordinator serves as a liaison between hospital administration, nursing leadership and management and the clinical teams. Additionally, they provide managerial support and oversight to the nursing units ensuring that day-to-day operational standards are met. This includes but is not limited to identifying patient service requirements, ensuring safe and fiscally responsible unit staffing, maintaining the efficient delivery of services and safe patient outcomes and the adherence to established hospital policies and procedures.
