The role of the Public Health Nurse Case Manager includes home visits in the areas of STI case investigation and field treatment. Under the direction of the Director of Public Health Nursing , the Public Health Nurse Case Manager will provide program support by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive community health nursing program to meet the care needs of the patients and clients in the assigned area. Qualifications NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of Nursing Certification: A valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Communicates utilizing a variety of tools to effectively convey ideas, updates regarding program goals and objectives to appropriate entities. Develops and maintains knowledge of regulatory agencies within the geographic service area. Coordinates and leads multi-disciplinary care team in the planning and implementation of care for high risk group (Food Borne Illnesses, TB, STD, Vaccine Preventable disease , COVID-19 testing and vaccinations for homebound patients ). Collaborates and coordinates care activities with existing County, State and Navajo Nation Tribal programs (TB Technician, Social Hygiene Technician, Community Health Representatives, Community Health Educators , State and County Disease Investigation Specialists ) . Conduct contact investigations for communicable Disease and provide appropriate testing, treatment and referrals in the clinic and/or in the field within the respective Service Area . Serve as a resource person for staff, physicians, local community pr ograms , and tribal, county and state Health Departments to work collaboratively with these entities to manage, control and prevent the spread of communicable diseases. Attends the STI weekly case review meetings comprised of local, state, county and tribal health programs. The incumbent will assist the Director of Public Health Nursing and the Public Health Director to develop short and long-term program goals and objectives based upon the community needs assessment, and National Healthy People initiatives. Keeps vehicle and equipment operating by following operating instructions; daily observations and documentation, troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Ensure proper PPE is always worn while on duty including but not limited to, face mask, gloves, gown, isolation gown, NIOSH-approved N95 filtering facepiece respirator or higher, if available), and eye or face shield. Complete all donning and doffing tasks in a safe acceptable method and discard of used PPE accordingly. Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Critical Care Transport Team (CCTT) Staff Nurse is to safely move patients requiring PCU or ICU level of care within the University Hospital and Rutgers campus. The CCTT RN prioritizes transport requests based on acuity and workload logistics. The CCTT RN will utilize the Acuity Checklist for Critical Care Transport form to determine who will accompany the patient during transport and what equipment will be needed. Overview The Nurse Manager is responsible for management of clinical services of the Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery (MIGS) Division, within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN). The Nurse Manager works closely with the MIGS Division Director, MIGS Practice Manager, and Department Administrator to develop, implement, and maintain clinical programs that enhance the quality of care and achieve a high level of patient and provider satisfaction. The Nurse Manager is primarily responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations and oversight of the MIGS Division in both Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg. The Nurse Manager provides direction and manages professional employees and is accountable for the performance and results of a team within the framework of the OBGYN Department and EVMS Medical Group. Responsibilities Position will be actively involved in daily clinical support functions to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare. These functions will include hands on support and oversight within the MIGS clinical operations at the Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg locations, to include nursing, provider, and patient support and coordination throughout the day. Responsible for the tracking, trending, and auditing of daily and monthly clinical performance related to operational metrics and quality measures, ensuring the team is working within their scope of practice and meeting all associated metrics.Provide direct supervision of assigned MIGS clinical staff. Responsible for talent identification, hiring, onboarding, and training for new team members. Responsible for coordination and distribution of clinical staff assignments and schedules. Demonstrate critical thinking skills needed for maintaining optimum clinical care and effective clinical workflow when faced with operational challenges such as provider and staffing shortages, emergency scheduling issues, electronic health record and telephone outages and other variables that frequently present within the clinical environment. Identify gaps in performance of staff and provide counseling, training or performance improvement plans as needed. Develop measurable metrics to ensure performance standards are being met. Develop and implement policies and procedures governing all aspects of clinical operations. Work in clinics as needed. Represent the MIGS clinical team during leadership meetings, trainings and development sessions. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree. Three (3) years of supervisor experience is required. Licensed Virginia RN (or LPNwith equivalent education and/or experience) is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in a Medical Office environment is preferred. Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Assistant Director Nursing position is to perform charge responsibilities in the Radiology Department/Pain Management & Critical Care Transport in a consistent manner; is accountable on a 24-hour basis for nursing care in the department.
