Department: Outpatient Treatment Ctr This position is in the Medicine Specialties Outpatient Treatment Center (OTC) which is the infusion clinic for UNMH. In this clinic, non-cancer patients are given infusions of medications to treat Autoimmune diseases, transplant rejection, low iron, etc. This is a busy, hands on clinic. Knowledge/Skills with placing IVs, PICC and central lines is helpful but not necessary. This position will include cross-training to the Outpatient Antibiotic clinic as well. We are open 7 days/week so one weekend per month may be required. FTE: 1.00 Full Time Shift: Days Position Summary: Provide safe, direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in the ambulatory setting. Provide clinical leadership for staff. Provide clinical mentorship to staff. Serve as role model. Provide full range of patient education to patients and family members. Assume relief charge duties, when designated. Under direction of designated shift supervisor. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.
