This growing team supervises the exercise and pharmacologic stress testing for inpatients and outpatients. The department sees roughly 90 % outpatient and 10% inpatient population. Staff are responsible for advanced ECG and arrhythmia interpretation and recognition; responsible for handling radioactive material; responsible for an Adult and Geriatric patient population. The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care. Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in the departments Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment. Prior experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred. Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts. Flexibility Travel Nurse experience preferred. Makes the initial evaluation and re-evaluates the patient’s nursing needs during each visit. Communicates significant findings, problems, and changes in health conditions, environment, or unsafe facility conditions to the clinical supervisor, the physician and/or other personnel involved with patient care. Counsels, instructs, and implements the plan for patient safety, utilizing patient information, family, and community resources. Participates in the implementation of the plan of care of an assigned case load to ensure quality, continuity of care, and achievement of patient outcomes. Identifies deviations from normal Nursing and normal patient condition status. Initiates appropriate actions based on the deviation. Verifies the Plan of Care prior to each visit and provides care according to physician’s orders, assessment data, and established standards and guidelines. Performs other duties/projects as assigned. What is Required? Graduate of an accredited Certificate, Diploma, Associates or Baccalaureate School of Nursing. 1+ year of experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting. Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment Home Health experience is preferred, but not required. Current State license as a Registered Nurse. Ability to travel approximately 50% Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will report to the Branch Manager or Clinical Manager.
