Position Summary The Pre/Post-Operative Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the patient’s admission to the facility, comprehensive pre-operative care, immediate post-operative care, and stabilization for admission to the inpatient department or return to the home environment. BSN desired. Possession of valid state license as Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas. Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required. (NOTE: BCLS may be obtained individually or will be accepted without individual BCLS card with current ACLS documentation.) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 60 days of hire. Minimum of one-year experience in Preop, PACU, Emergency, or ICU. One-year perioperative experience in surgery center or hospital setting preferred. Working Conditions Temperature controlled environment. Employees should be Able to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting technique several times during their shift. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently, have cognitive skills for math, reading, filing and sterile technique skills.
