What you need to know about this position: Our Mental Health unit (housed on the Columbus Regional Health campus) is an 18-bed secure inpatient unit treating adults 18 and older who are experiencing acute mental illness. We provide an individualized program for the intensive treatment of mental disorders which includes a plan of care specific to each patient's circumstance and goals of the treatment. A new Registered Nurse in this unit will have an hourly base rate starting at $33.34. An experienced Registered Nurse can expect an hourly base rate in the top 25% of nurses in the region. RN positions are eligible for applicable shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums. Ensure all Acute treatments are performed in contracted hospitals/facilities according to the established policies and procedures, and in compliance, with all applicable regulatory requirement. Ensure accurate documentation of information related to patient treatment is entered into ACES during the time of treatment. Monitor on a daily basis ACES compliance. Perform Quality Assessment and Improvement (QAI) Program audits as directed to ensure the provision of quality patient care and compliance with all Joint Commission requirements. Participate in QAI meetings as requested by the Program Manager to assure proper reporting of QAI activities Assess daily patient care needs and communicate concerns to attending physician.
