The RN, Stem Cell Transplant will provide patient centered care to oncology patients across the adult and geriatric spectrum in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Demonstrate a high level of competency across the continuum of malignant hematology and stem cell transplantation. Deliver exceptional care across all domains of practice when caring for patients receiving cellular therapies. Develop and implement an individualized plan of utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Be responsible for inspiring and guiding other qualified patient care team members to ensure enhanced patient outcomes through effective communication, collaboration, preceptorship, mentorship, and effective delegation in the exercise of his/her independent judgment. Address physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs of the patient and caregiver in the delivery of nursing care. Coordinate the plan of care with other healthcare professionals, support persons, and all members of the healthcare team. The successful candidate: Must be able to work FT Days, 7a-7p. Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents the care of patients across the continuum of malignant hematology and stem cell transplantation. Assists with special procedures. Directs the care delivered by Patient Care Technicians and other members of the healthcare team. Adheres to the hospital and department infection control policies including but not limited to hand hygiene, asepsis, isolation practice, and employee health practice. Effectively communicates with peers to resolve conflict. Assists in the on-boarding of new employees. Protects the patient’s dignity, rights, and privacy. Assesses the knowledge level of the patient or designated support person. Delegate tasks according to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and job descriptions. Document nursing care, implants, and specimens accurately, completely, and legibly. Collaborate with other disciplines as applicable. Maintain required competencies. Pursue professional growth and keep current with technology. Completes additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Your qualifications should include: 1-3 years of experience in Cellular Therapy (Stem Cell Transplant and/or Immune Effector Cell), or as deemed qualified by Cellular Therapy Leadership. Education- BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date. Licensure-Georgia Registered Nurse License or a Registered Nurse License form a Compact State Certification- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification- an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training site certification is required upon hire. If their current certification does not meet the guidelines, stakeholders will have (30) days from the date of hire to attend an onsite initial BLS course and will be required to renew every two years. See specific role for any additional requirements. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification. Stakeholders will have thirty (30) days from the date of hire to acquire American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification and will need to be renewed every two years. Will not be allowed to provide ACLS for patients independently until AHA ACLS cards are obtained Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certificate is required upon hire. What You’ll Do Coordinate and oversee hospice patient care across the interdisciplinary team, including contracted providers Serve as the central point of communication between physicians, caregivers, patients, and internal teams Manage physician orders and ensure timely entry, approval, and alignment with the plan of care Partner with Intake to support timely admissions and follow up on pending referrals Continuously assess patient needs and ensure appropriate reassessment with any change in condition Lead development, implementation, and updates of individualized hospice plans of care Support patients and families through education, symptom management, and end-of-life care planning Review clinical reports (occurrence, infection control, OnCall) and take appropriate action Participate in and contribute to IDG meetings, supporting care planning and decision-making Perform in-home visits as needed to support care delivery and team alignment Ensure compliance with hospice regulations, documentation standards, and quality expectations Identify trends or gaps in care and escalate to Branch leadership with recommendations What We’re Looking For Active RN license in state of practice Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) Previous Hospice or Home Health experience required, with strong understanding of end-of-life care 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or care coordination experience preferred Proven ability to work within an interdisciplinary team environment Strong clinical judgment, particularly in symptom management and patient comfort Excellent communication skills - able to support patients, families, and care teams through complex and emotional situations Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current CPR certification Competitive Pay & Benefits A compensation package that recognizes your expertise and impact.
