Schedules diagnostic tests and procedures when necessary, including prior authorizations. Coordinates necessary lab work, follow-up testing, and communicates any medical changes to the patient/family. Refers patient needs/concerns to the cardiologist for medical follow-up. Acts as patient advocate to address the patient’s needs and concerns. Serves as the resource for answering patient/family questions or concerns regarding medical plan of care. Works with referring physicians in coordinating and implementing patient care issues and scheduling of cardiology procedures. Attends weekly cardiac catheterization conferences in person or via zoom, attends cardiac educational offerings when appropriate Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job. Job Details: Scheduled Hours: 7:30am - 6:00pm, on call and weekend rotation required Job Description: A Brief Overview Assists in surgical procedures under the supervision of physicians, registered nurses and other surgical personnel. Responsible for creating and maintaining the sterile field. Prepares the operating room by collecting needed supplies and equipment. Functions within the sterile field by passing instruments and other supplies to surgeons and providing visualization through retraction. Provides high quality care to the surgical patients.
