If admitted the patient is transferred to the appropriate floor for continued recovery and discharge. The PACU sees infants to geriatrics. Here the patients are closely monitor while they are waking up from the anesthesia they received during the procedure. Depending on the procedure and the orders received from the physicians the patient will be discharged home or admitted to the hospital. Job Description Nemours is seeking a Fetal Nurse Coordinator to join our Nemours Children’s Health team in Wilmington, DE. The Nemours Fetal Care Center (NFCC) and Advanced Delivery Unit are expanding the scope of service to include comprehensive prenatal, obstetrical and postpartum care for women whose unborn child has been diagnosed with a birth defect or complex medical condition that will require immediate multidisciplinary pediatric care in the neonatal period. In addition to currently available prenatal imaging to diagnose these conditions, we are also expanding invasive diagnostics and fetal intervention procedures. The Fetal Nurse Coordinator (FNC) is the frontline associate and first contact clinician coordinating care for all patients entering the Nemours Fetal Care Center and Advanced Delivery Unit Program. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the FNC will take the lead in the coordination of a clear and concise plan for all NFCC patients in a manner that meets the needs of the patient and family first. This position will support Nemours patients and families in experiencing continuity of care within the Nemours system. Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents. Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned. Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required. Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly. Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written. Prepares and administers medications as per physicians’ orders and observes for adverse effects as indicated. Performs wound treatments as per physicians’ orders, observes for changes and documents accordingly as indicated. Schedules follow up appointments for residents and transportation needs as indicated.
