Position Summary The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will practice as an independent clinician while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team. This role is responsible for the direct care and clinical management of pediatric patients at our St. Paul and Minneapolis Emergency Department locations. APPs in the pediatric emergency department practice to the full scope of their licensure within a team-based model that includes both independent patient visits and shared visits alongside an attending physician. Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage pediatric patients presenting with a wide range of acute and traumatic conditions Obtain histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and implement treatment plans Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions appropriate to the patient population Collaborate with attending physicians, pediatric specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, efficient, high-quality care Schedule Requirements We are open to a range of 0.8 to 1.0 FTE, depending on candidate interest and program needs. Each facility is designed to support short-stay needs, coordinate pediatric and neonatal care transport, assault and abuse services, access to pediatric specialists, and emergency telephone consultation and referral. Department Overview The Midwest Children's Resource Center provides medical diagnosis, psychological assessment, and treatment for children and their families affected by physical abuse, sexual abuse, or neglect. Position Summary This position provides specialized medical consultation, evaluation, and care for children and adolescents with concerns related to child maltreatment. Key responsibilities include: * Providing phone consultation and triage for caregivers, medical providers, and community professionals. * Conducting medical evaluations, including video-recorded histories, for suspected victims of child maltreatment. * Collecting physical evidence in acute cases of sexual assault or abuse involving children and adolescents. * Providing medical evaluations and ongoing care for adolescents in youth shelter settings. * Coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team. * Occasionally providing testimony in legal proceedings.
