Both the patient and the family are encouraged to participate in the interdisciplinary plan of care to achieve healthy outcomes that include a return to health or provide comfort and support at the end of life. This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00pm on Fridays and end at 7:30am on Mondays. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule . A caregiver in this position works 7:00AM – 7:30PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients and their families . Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). A MSN or DNP are not required but supersede the requirement for the BSN.
