OVERVIEW Provides compassionate nursing care to patients in a clinical setting while supporting the Mercyhealth nursing mission and values. May include variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and/or on-call hours. May also float to different units based on staffing needs and clinical competency. Performs other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Graduate of an accredited nursing program Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) OR Associate Diploma in Nursing (ADN)/Diploma RN with a signed BSN Agreement OR ADN/Diploma RN with 5 years of RN experience OR ADN with Professional Nursing Certification Minimum 3 years of RN experience required CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE Licensed as an RN in state of practice Approved CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days Other certification(s) per unit requirements. WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION Office environment, patient homes, nursing home, personal care homes, hospital and emergency department. May frequently have high levels of physical and emotional stress in a rotating 7on/7off basis. Requires considerable standing, mental effort, stooping, bending, lifting (in excess of fifty (50) lbs.) and operation of clinical and office equipment. Likely to be exposed to blood and body fluids, including infectious diseases. May drive long distances in all kinds of weather and be in and out of automobile. Uses medical, office equipment, and telecommunications devices on a regular basis (e.g., I.V. pumps, fax, computer, and pagers).
