Description The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide care for a migrant farmworker clinic program in Des Moines, IA ! About The Migrant Farmworker Program Farmworkers perform difficult labor and are in the fields from early morning until late evening, sometimes seven days a week. Such a schedule does not facilitate access to health care services. There are also language barriers and transportation issues. Health care clinics are scheduled in locations where farmworkers are working and living, during the hours when workers are available for services. In these locations, workers receive vital exams such as blood pressure, temperature, height and weight, and blood profiling to check for anemia, cholesterol, and diabetes. All patients are able to have a complete physical exam. Take advantage of this unique to opportunity provide healthcare to the migrant farm workers of Iowa! Role Details Hours: Day of the week is flexible Monday-Friday + once a month Saturday clinic; Ideally 1 day per week with 4 hours of clinic + charting time Clinic Info: 2 exam rooms, lab draw room, 340b pharmacy, point of care lab machines. 45 minutes for new patient, 30 minutes for follow up Team Lead, Health Aide and Receptionist to support this position. Description The Clinical Program Manager provides clinical support and administrative direction within the Tisch Cancer Center’s Clinical Trials Office (TCC CCTO). In collaboration with the Associate Director for Research, clinical trials investigators, and TCC CCTO Administrative Directors; this candidate is responsible for the implementation and conduct of clinical trials with investigational anti-cancer agents in the Cancer Institute. The Candidate must have expert knowledge of cancer as a disease process, cancer treatment modalities, and the process of conducting clinical research. The Candidate will follow a caseload of patients in the ambulatory setting and assist in the administration and plan of the research program. The Clinical Program Manager will report into the CCTO’s Administrative Director. Responsibilities Administrative Responsibilities: Supervises Clinical Research Coordinator positions and other CRNs to ensure protocol compliance, accurate data collection and sample acquisition. Develops educational programs for the Nursing Staff regarding specific protocols. Manage clinical trials portfolio and assure timely regulatory start-up of protocols. Monitor accruals and identify opportunities to grow research program. Liaison with industry sponsors and CROs. Liaison with CCTO office (including pre-award, post award and QAP). Clinical Research Responsibilities: Responsible for coordinating study enrollment, establishing a database of patients, protocol treatment and follow-up care for patients participating in clinical trials. Collaborates with primary nursing staff to provide nursing care to patients receiving therapy on a clinical research trial. Assists the principal investigator in the process of assuring adequate informed consent.
