This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of gynecologic oncologists while providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to women with gynecologic cancers. About the Practice You will collaborate closely with Dr. Jennifer McEachron , a board-certified gynecologic oncologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for women with gynecologic cancers. Dr. McEachron specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancers, utilizing the latest evidence-based medical and surgical approaches to deliver individualized care. As part of a multidisciplinary oncology team, you will partner with physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and supportive care specialists to ensure seamless, high-quality care throughout each patient's cancer journey. The practice is also expanding with the addition of a second gynecologic oncologist, creating an excellent opportunity for professional growth and collaboration. Position Highlights Outpatient-only practice No hospital rounding No on-call responsibilities Collaborate with two gynecologic oncologists in a growing specialty practice High level of clinical autonomy with physician support Average of 15–17 patients per clinic day Primary Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations. Evaluate and manage patients with gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancers. Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic imaging results. Collaborate with gynecologic oncologists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Manage patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive treatments. Monitor treatment response, identify adverse effects, and adjust care plans as appropriate. Assess and manage cancer- and treatment-related symptoms, including pain, fatigue, nausea, neuropathy, and menopausal symptoms. Provide survivorship care, surveillance for recurrence, and long-term follow-up. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, expected side effects, and supportive care. Coordinate care with surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, genetic counselors, nurses, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team. Facilitate referrals, follow-up appointments, and continuity of care throughout the patient's cancer journey. Location: Chicago, Illinois Hospital: Rush University Medical Center Department: Gender Affirm Surgery - Office Work Type: Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0) Gender Affirmation Surgery Advanced Practice Provider Rush University Medical Center Chicago, IL Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Gender Affirmation Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This role will provide outpatient support to our Gender Affirmation surgeons in the outpatient clinic four days/week and in the OR one day/week. At a Glance Sole Advanced Practice Provider in Gender Affirmation Surgery Five-day, eight-hour shift schedule, no call, no weekends Outpatient clinic, first assist in the OR and rare inpatient responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in surgical related specialty, including robotics, is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered. APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification and First Assistant Certification. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards. Position Requirements Nurse Practitioner: Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP) Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable. CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
