Purpose of position The advanced practice provider (APRN, CNP or PA-C) provides clinical care to patients in a family-centered model with complex acute, critical and chronic health care conditions, advises patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and/or provides skilled assistance in navigation of the health care system as appropriate to the developmental, cultural, emotional, and medical, surgical, or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families.
