Performs pre-infusion chart reviews including, but not limited to, coordination with the business office and pre-operative RN’s to determine patient eligibility for infusions and authorization of Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) medications. Provide assistance and expertise to other departments when needed regarding IV’s, infusions, and protocols. Learn and become proficient in starting, maintaining, and trouble-shooting venous access catheters that are large-bore and have extended dwell times. Other duties as assigned.
