About the unit 1E is a 20 bed Med/Surg unit at Blodgett Hospital. Nurses enjoy working on 1E as you are able to become an expert in so many areas since we care for a wide variety of diagnosis. Some of the patients we care for are those with Respiratory illnesses, Acute Kidney Injuries, DKA, Septic Shock and many more. We also have a surgical population of Mastectomy patients and Thyroidectomy patients. In addition to some of the above stated items, 1E also uses Endotool which is our continuous insulin drip program and utilizes cardiac drips.
