Ensures appropriate testing when reasonable suspicion for abuse exists. • Answers all calls for Employee Incident Hot Line after hours, on weekends and holidays. Provides initial triage and directs employee to ER as appropriate. Documents all calls on the Employee Injury & Illness Incident Report. Collaborates with ER physician to initiate prophylactic treatment of employees in the event of exposure to communicable diseases. • Identifies bed bugs in conjunction with EVS manager or designee. This is an annual CBL that describes the difference in a swing bed patient versus an in-patient or observation patient. The House Manager will understand the documentation differences and the specific care required for each individual swing bed patient. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/tasks may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters. Required Education: Associate's Degree Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
