Job Description Summary: Provides safe, accurate and efficient patient care, including but not limited to: patient assessment, review of labs and vital signs, medication safety, dose verification, and drug administration. Will follow proper patient identification per JBI for all patient encounters. Teaching: Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and planned treatment course. Interact with patient and family in a caring, professional manner. Telephone triage: Includes prioritizing incoming calls and messages from patients, family members, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies, and physician offices from emergent to non-urgent. Must respond accordingly in an appropriate time frame. Supplies: Includes assisting with inventory and re-stocking medical supplies, recommend purchase of new items as needed. Place stock in storage areas in a timely manner. Complete annual required safety and nursing trainings. Attend all mandatory staff meetings as necessary. Always maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all patient and employee information. Assist in training new employees related to job duties according to JBIs. Will be expected to work at any Company location to help meet the Company’s business needs on an as-needed basis, within reasonable expectations. Will also be expected to work overtime when given sufficient notice. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
