POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Nursing) plays an essential leadership role at Hartwell Place, a small intimate memory care community nestled in the Chicago neighborhood of Andersonville. The Director of Nursing manages the day-to-day health care related administrative functions, provides direct wellness care oversite to residents in accordance to service plans, and ensures standard policies and procedures including state and federal regulations are followed. Investigates outbreaks to study potential causes as well as appropriateness of the response. Nurse Supervisor Prepares and oversees nursing schedule, coordinating with other nurses to ensure all shifts are covered. Coaches staff on areas of improvement and provide positive reinforcement for job well-done. Maintains security of all medications within the facility, ensuring the inventory of all medications and records as needed. Reviews Medication Log for accuracy. Assists in the training and onboarding process of new team members (nurses and RAs) and reinforces training standards to maintain a high quality.
