Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Provide direct care to patients recovering from medical conditions such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, orthopedic surgeries, amputations, chronic diseases or other conditions Monitor patients’ medical status, vital signs, responses to rehabilitation therapies; along with administration of medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care as needed Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and eating, in coordination with physical therapists and occupational therapists Teach patients to use assistive devices, such as walkers, prosthetics, or wheelchairs Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and long-term care strategies Participate in discharge planning, ensuring that patients are prepared for a safe transition to home or another care setting Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1.
