The Co-Ed Adolescent Mood Disorder Unit is for the multi-disciplinary assessment, evaluation, crisis intervention, and stabilization of adolescent female and male patients. Discharge planning emphasizes movement to day hospital or outpatient care as soon as the crisis has been stabilized. What to expect. Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
