The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following: Locating patients, obtaining accurate vital signs by visual and auditory measures, triaging patients, assessing patients’ medical condition and preparing patients for physicals and medical treatment by Physicians and Nurses; Electronically ordering lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed; Notifying the Nurse and/or Physician when patient is ready for exam while communicating symptoms and relaying questions about lab or x-ray needs; Assisting Nurses and Physicians with various forms of patient treatment and care; Handling Physician and Nurse requests with respect and in a timely manner; Sterilizing and setting up instruments; Washing, drying, folding, and restocking laundry. Maintaining the cleanliness of the washing machine and dryer lint trap; Receiving and storing supplies; restocking treatment rooms as needed; Reporting to Charge Nurse before leaving at the end of the shift; Following ancillary guidelines as deemed necessary by the Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, Director of Medical Support (DMS), and Physician; Adhering to established policies and procedures; Maintaining cleanliness of the treatment area and completing biological cleanup in accordance with OSHA guidelines and other maintenance assignments as directed; Participating in maintenance assignments as necessary and as directed; Understanding and using the electronic medical record system; Attending staff meetings as scheduled by the Nurse Supervisor or DMS; Operating, using, and maintaining medical and office equipment as trained; Completing assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks within the assigned shift; Being available to assist as needed (breaks and mealtimes may be interrupted at any time to provide necessary patient care or to maintain center operations); Fostering teamwork and ensuring a positive and professional atmosphere; Providing positive, warm, and friendly service in all interactions; Understanding and performing all duties as assigned. Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following: Employee must be 18 years of age or older; Minimum typing experience; High school graduate or equivalent; Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred; Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system; Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4-7 hours at a time); Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills; Ability to prioritize and deal with numerous tasks at one time; Willingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency or reduction of work. First Pre-Admission Testing, located in 3 Cooper calls to review a patient’s health information prior to a surgical procedure. Once approval for the recommended surgical procedure is finalized and patient information is reviewed the patient is provided with information on when and where to report. Once arrived and registered the patient is escorted to the appropriate location to be prepped for surgical procedure. These RN’s prep the patient for the procedure. They review medical history, medical procedures and place an IV. Patients are met by Anesthesia and their Surgeon. Once everything is reviewed and verified the patient then goes to the OR. Job Description Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse for our general pediatrics stepdown unit to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware . This specialized Nurse Practitioner provides specialized, evidence-based virtual care for patients with menopause-related concerns, including sexual health, bone health, sleep, and other aspects of midlife women’s health. The role serves both self-referred patients and those referred by Axia OB/GYN providers, providing focused evaluation, treatment, education, and follow-up. This position complements care provided in Axia’s in-person practices by serving as a specialty resource for patients requiring additional expertise or focused management, while maintaining communication with the referring provider and supporting continuity of care with the patient’s established OB/GYN as the primary coordinator of their overall gynecologic and menopause care. Specialty Menopause Care Provide comprehensive virtual evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, education, and follow-up for patients experiencing menopause-related symptoms and concerns. Serve as a clinical resource for menopause-related conditions and symptom domains, including sexual health and wellness, osteoporosis and bone health, sleep, and other long-term consequences or sequelae of menopause. Develop individualized treatment plans that may include hormone therapy, non-hormonal therapies, lifestyle interventions, patient education, and appropriate referrals. Provide care for both self-referred patients and patients referred by Axia OB/GYN providers. Communicate relevant clinical findings, recommendations, and treatment plans to referring OB/GYN, when applicable, following patient visits. General Menopause Care Provide comprehensive menopause symptom management for patients referred by Axia OB/GYN providers who may benefit from additional virtual menopause expertise or support. Evaluate and manage common menopause-related concerns, including vasomotor symptoms, mood changes, weight and metabolic concerns, cognitive symptoms, and other manifestations of menopause, within the APP’s scope of practice. Collaborate with referring OB/GYN provider when patients present with complex symptoms or require care beyond the scope of the virtual menopause program. Identify and appropriately refer non-menopause-related medical concerns to patient’s OB/GYN, primary care provider, or other appropriate specialist rather than managing conditions outside the scope of the program. Job Description Nemours is seeking a Fetal Nurse Coordinator to join our Nemours Children’s Health team in Wilmington, DE. The Nemours Fetal Care Center (NFCC) and Advanced Delivery Unit are expanding the scope of service to include comprehensive prenatal, obstetrical and postpartum care for women whose unborn child has been diagnosed with a birth defect or complex medical condition that will require immediate multidisciplinary pediatric care in the neonatal period. In addition to currently available prenatal imaging to diagnose these conditions, we are also expanding invasive diagnostics and fetal intervention procedures. The Fetal Nurse Coordinator (FNC) is the frontline associate and first contact clinician coordinating care for all patients entering the Nemours Fetal Care Center and Advanced Delivery Unit Program. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the FNC will take the lead in the coordination of a clear and concise plan for all NFCC patients in a manner that meets the needs of the patient and family first. This position will support Nemours patients and families in experiencing continuity of care within the Nemours system.
