The Professional Model of Care requires registered professional nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own practice. Children's National supports the development of RN relationships within the community; specifically, those relationships associated with the health and wellbeing of the community at large. The Cardiac Catheterization Nursing encompasses the care of the patient and family/legal guardian. Pre-sedation, monitoring, and post sedation services are provided to care for a range of ages from infants to adults in collaboration with anesthesiologists and cardiologists. The Cath Lab Nurse cares for the acute and critically ill patient population during cardiac catheterization procedures and electrophysiology procedures. This a part-time position (24 hours per week, 8-hour shifts from 7am - 3:30pm). Assists in the monitoring of psychotropic medication use, including but not limited to behavioral monitoring, obtaining consents, monitoring for side effects and follow-up as needed. 14.
