Informs the physician/wound clinics of changes in client needs, wounds that require change to the plan of care for wound care treatments and disease management Determines staffing needs and coordinates patient scheduling to meet service demands. Accountable for team performance in achieving desired clinical and operational performance measures. Follows trends in specialty area of wounds for home care industry; makes recommendations of treatment options for incorporation into the program. Participates in training, coaching of staff and onboarding to the Wound program Participates and facilitates professional development needs and competency for wound program. In addition, the position involves other duties such as: 1. Will actively participate in the performance improvement process known as H3W. 2. Participates in clinical education area to provide programs aimed to improve clinical competencies of direct service staff. 3. Researches new information related to wound specialty and communicates to team. 4. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Associates degree, diploma in nursing. Wound/Ostomy specialty certification and Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred. Experience: Minimum of two years nursing experience in clinical specialty area required. Minimum two years in homecare preferred. Licensure, Certification, Registration: RN License required. Obtain Wound/Ostomy certification within 6 months of hire required.
