Key Qualifications: Current, unencumbered RN license Robust experience managing diabetes care for pediatric students, including hands-on knowledge of carb counting for young children Ventilator and tracheostomy experience or certification highly preferred Previous nursing experience in a school setting strongly valued Bilingual language skills are a significant plus Core Responsibilities: Deliver general nursing services, responding to acute and chronic health needs of students across multiple schools in the district Provide specialized diabetes care, including insulin administration, glucose monitoring, and education for students, families, and staff Collaborate closely with school nurses, teachers, and other staff, ensuring coordinated, compassionate care for those with medical needs Administer medications and treatments according to school protocols, and maintain accurate health records Support students with disabilities or complex health concerns, including those with ventilator and tracheostomy requirements if present in the student population Promote a safe environment by participating in health education and supporting wellness initiatives throughout the schools This role offers competitive pay between $35 and $45 per hour, commensurate with experience and certifications.
